Hotel Extension
Location: Burley Manor Hotel
Objective
Working closely with main contractor the objective was to Extend the hotel to add a new wedding venue to the north side, solid oak floors were installed along with oak beams in the ceiling and solid oak doorways and stairs, the idea was to match existing materials with a slic modern look. Accommodation and kitchen facilities were also added in the build.
Solution
All necessary fittings we installed, timber windows, doors, stairs, fire places. Job
was left ready for client to move in.
Health Centre Conversion
Location: Littlehampton Health Centre
Objective
The project was to convert the Health Centre Courtyard into a waiting room and then re-configure the existing waiting room into 3 practice rooms. Jigsaw oversaw the job as a whole and leased with the client and architect to deliver the the surgery on time and within budget.
Solution
The surgery was a live area throughout the project. Careful measures were taken to ensure the minimum of disruption to patients or staff was caused. The new waiting area was situated in the middle of the surgery in an old court yard and with glass all round and roof lights overhead, the project turned an unused, tired looking space into a much more useful and welcoming area.
Health Centre Refurbishment
Location: Portchester Health Centre
Objective
To carry out a full refurbishment of 25 rooms, included the removal of the the roof, providing new suspended ceilings throughout , new plaster and flooring in all rooms, reconfiguring rooms to suit new layout, new doors skirtings and architrave and fully painted to completely revamp an ageing public health centre.
Solution
Working in a live environment organisation was key, a tight programme meant that working closely with the project management team and client was an effective way to deliver the job safely and on time.
MOD Site Refurbishment
Location: Collingwood Main Gallery Block
Objective
A complete rip out of existing kitchen and refurbishment of the main kitchen, serveries, food stores, pantries, changing rooms, bathrooms and offices totalling 20+ rooms. 75 new door sets fitted throughout the building, over 500m2 of plastering in the building and fully decorated.
Solution
Working on MOD bases bring an unmatched level of security to it. Having a the right team to work with client and arcitect was key to the jobs success. Adding weight in the form of new plant to the roof meant that alterations and upgrades to the existing joists had to be done, new penetrations through the roof structure were also formed.
University Buildings Upgrade
Location: Surrey University
Objective
This project was in five different buildings within the University. The works included new Trespa worktops, flooring, ceilings and fire doors to a Chemistry Lab, a complete reconstruction of physical science building including vinyl flooring, screeding, new suspended ceilings, all second fix joinery and new fire doors throughout.
Solution
Within the project was the refurbishment of two adjoining buildings which included glass screening, metal stud partitioning, plastering and decorations. The project was on a very tight schedule (11 weeks) to be ready in time for student returning so deadlines and carful project management were key to delivering the finished product on time.
